[Davical-general] iPhone/iPad (iOS 6.1.2): That resource is not present on this server.

Alexander Johannes
Hi,

i've recently installed DAViCal (1.1.1) on a FreeBSD Box with LigHTTPD. The Setup is working properly (confirmed with Calender.app (aka iCal) and Sunbird) for my users.

But i'm having problems with iOS 6.1.2 and its calendering app. I'm able to configure an account, but the calender app does not show any collections for the user (there are two: /home and /test). It also does not allow the creation of an appointment (it will get deleted without any error in the UI). I've logged some messages from DAViCal:

1. The client does a PROPFIND, which gets answered by DAViCal and contains all available collections (snipped to make this brief)

davical: LOG: :PROPFIND /caldav.php/alex/

2. After that, the client does two PROPFINDs on an unknown collection, each gets answered by a 404:

davical: LOG: :PROPFIND /caldav.php/alex/B3F0D207-3BB1-4605-8FE2-AE9CD789B47B/

Does anyone know, why iOS tries to query such an URL?

I'm not sure if there is a configuration problem at the server. But i'm happy to obtain any information in order to debug this problem properly.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards,

Alex

[Davical-general] latest changes from the GIT + 2 fixes

Ján Máté-2
In reply to this post by Vincent Van Houtte
Hi all,

I just updated the DAViCal/Awl "GIT package" (there are few new commits from Andrew in the GIT):

http://www.inf-it.com/fixes/DAViCal_GIT-2013-03-06.zip

it contains all changes from GIT for DAViCal & Awl + includes the following two additional patches for OS X Contacts.app (Andrew, if you can, please commit these changes to the GIT):

http://www.inf-it.com/fixes/caldav-REPORT.php.diff (DAViCal)
http://www.inf-it.com/fixes/XMLElement.php.diff (Awl)

Instructions:
- update your installation to the latest version of DAViCal (1.1.1) and libawl-php (0.53)
- replace the files in /usr/share/davical/ and /usr/share/awl/ with new files in the archive

Re: iPhone/iPad (iOS 6.1.2): That resource is not present on this server.

Jim Seymour
Hi,

I realize this thread's a bit old, but I ran into iPhone client issues,
recently, and this solution:

    http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/davical/general/3082

I simply downloaded

    http://www.inf-it.com/fixes/DAViCal_GIT-2013-03-06.zip

unpacked it, and, from the unpacked base directory, did

find awl davical -print |cpio -pdm /usr/share

to replace the files in the distro (it's an Ubuntu 10.04 LTS system)
with those from the tarball.

YMMV, but it did the trick for me.

You may have to go into the target directories and recursively fixup
file and directory ownerships and permissions, afterward.

Regards,
Jim
